About

QPEC is a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to inform and educate young people about the central role and constructive contribution of enterprise in our society.

For more than 25 years, QPEC has been helping teachers and students, as well as company and government employees, understand what makes business tick.

Key Supporters

  • The Griffith Business School is proud to support the activities of QPEC. Under a collaborative agreement, the Griffith Business School plays a major role in the life of QPEC. Senior representatives of the School contribute to the direction of QPEC as members of the Executive Committee. Administrative services are provided at the School's Management Centre on Brisbane's South Bank. The School also arranges and hosts several Business & Teacher Workshops at the various campuses of Griffith University.

What we do

Throughout Queensland QPEC informs and educates secondary school students about business and enterprise through its popular ECOMAN business simulation program, and promotes contact among business people and teachers with its Business & Teacher Workshops.

These programs provide students with the experience of running a company and understanding business, and give employers and educators the benefits of sharing information and experiences of mutual interest and concern.

Business and industry require employees who have a broad level of competencies and who are willing to learn new skills. Students and business people are at the forefront of a technological revolution which is changing the way we learn, work and live.

The youth of today are the business men and women of tomorrow, providing young people with the ambition and skills to succeed in a dynamic and ever-changing business environment that is a challenge for teachers and for all of us.  It is also important that those who may not elect to take up a career in business should understand and appreciate the role of enterprise in our society.
